Gwa is sited on the Asian continent towards the west of the Myanmar in Rakhine State. It is a town in the state of Rakhine and agriculture and fishing is the main form of living in the town. History of Gwa:

Since Gwa is a town in Rakhine State, most of its history is associated with the state’s history. Fishing was the main occupation of the people in this town before the arrival of the British in the region. After the arrival of the British the region near to the Sea began to develop into a port. Rice cultivated in Rakhine state was sold to traders who would export these goods along with other precious goods to foreign countries. Many battles were fought in this region before and during the British Rule, from the period 1784 till 1939.
