History of Palawan:
Palawan was inhabited from 220 AD and it was the trading island and Chinese traders visited these islands frequently and from 12th century Malay invaded to the islands and started farming and it was under the rule of Majapahit Empire.
In the 13th century, during his rule Hinduism and Buddhism was established in the island and Palawan was influenced by south and Sultanate of Brunei introduced Islam in the islands.
During the Spanish rule region was separated from mainland and it was divided and reunited and they ruled the region until 1903. In the year 1902, Americans captured the region and later during the Second World War Japanese captured the region.
