Voinjama is a city situated in the Lofa County in Liberia, geographically positioned between 8°25′ N latitude and 9°45′ W longitude, around 390 km northeast of the national capital, Monrovia. It is the seat of Lofa County, located near the Guinean border. Voinjama is basically an agriculture based city as its surrounding areas are largely used for rice production and other major crops grown in Voinjama include potato greens, collard greens, palm nuts and cassava.

History of Voinjama:
