History of Sochi:

Sochi was inhabited by Zygii populaces before the establishment of other communities in the city and later Roman rule was established in the region. During the rule of Lazica and Abkhazia kingdom in Sochi during 11^th century they constructed numerous churches in and around the territory. Sochi was conquered by Abkhaz, Ubykh, and Adyghe tribes during 14^th and 19^th centuries and later it was captured by Ottoman Empire.
