History of Arras:

Arras was established by the Belgae ethnic group of the Atrebates on the mount of Baudimont and in 4^th century, Saint Inoccent converted populace of the town to Christianity but was killed in 410 during the attack on the town. In the year 1180, the French Crown granted a commercial charter and became center for banking and trade and industries were established in the 4^th century. Battle of series was fought in the city during First World War and chain of tunnel was constructed to protect the troop.
