Bata is the largest city of the Central African country, Equatorial Guinea, lying on the coast line of the country, between 1°51′ N latitude and 9°45′ E longitude. History of Bata:

Bata served as the capital of Equatorial Guinea in the past and it incurred loss of population considerably following the anti-Spanish revolts in the year 1969 and since the emergence of the oil industry in the late 1980s in the country, Bata has been headed towards development.
