Bequia is the largest island in the Grenadines island chain geographically positioned between 13°00′ N latitude and 61°13′ W longitude. History of Bequia:

Bequia was earlier known as Becouya and the literal meaning of present name Bequia in ancient Arawak language is ‘island of the clouds’. It was well known for its sugar industries during the French colonial period.
