The Cholas ruled Bangalore in the year 1024. Later in the year, 1116 the Hoysala Empire defeated the Cholas and Bangalore fell under their rule. After the reign of Vijaynagara Empire, Bangalore was ruled by many great rulers of India before falling into the hands of the British Raj.
