Korce is the ancient city founded by Greek and city is located in the southeastern part of Albania and the capital of Korce district. History of Korce:
As per the historical records the city of Korce was occupied during 4000 BC and modern town was founded during the rule of Sultan Mehmet II, in the 15th century. From the year 1440, Ottoman rule begun in the region and the town flourished from 1788 and Ottoman ruled the city until the year 1912. After the fall of Ottoman rule in the region, the city came under the control of Albania rule as the region was settled by the Greek populaces.
