Hatillo is one of the municipalities in Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the USA, geographically located between 18°29′11″ N latitude and 66°49′32″ W longitude, spanning over an area of 108.22 sq. km. Hatillo shares its borders with Camuy in the west, Arecibo towards east and Lares in the south.

The municipality of Hatillo comprises of 9 wards and Hatillo Pueblo (downtown area). Hatillo is one of the major milk producing centres in Puerto Rico and is also home to the renowned shopping mall, Plaza Del Norte.

History of Hatillo:

Hatillo was founded by a Canarian immigrant, Don Agustín Ruiz Miranda in the year 1823 in the area of 10 cuerdas.
