History of Chur:
According to the records, it is believed that the Chur region was inhabited around 3900-3500 BC by Pfyn culture and Roman Empire captured the region around 15 BC and during 4th century Chur became home to the first Christian bishopric in the north of Alps. Chur was the important region for many rulers and population of the region flourished during 13th century and Three Leagues established the revolution to Chur’s autonomy and in the year 1803, Chur became the capital of Graubunden Canton.
