History of Durazno:

Durazno was established on the banks of Rio Yi and named after the Brazil regent, Paso Del Durazno but in the year 1828, the department was named as Entre Rios Yi y Negro and later named as Durazno and in the year 1830, Durazno was the department of Republic.
