Punta Del Este is a city located on the Atlantic Coast in Maldonado Department in Uruguay country. History of Punta Del Este:

Punta Del Este was first sighted by the Spanish during the 16^th century but colonial period begun during the 18^th century by the Portuguese. Punta Del Este was an uninhabited land but in the year 1896 Antonio Lussich purchased the 4,447 acres of land and started the botanical garden which is surrounded by Pines, Eucalyptus and Acacias trees. Punta Del Este became a city in the year 1957.
