History of Tucson:
As per the record, it is believed that Paleo Indians were the first to settle in the region around 12,000 years ago. The first missionary established in the city was Mission San Xavier del Bac in the year 1700 along the Santa Cruz River Valley and later in the year Spanish attacked Tucson and became the part of Mexico. Tucson reclaimed the independence in the year 1821 from Spain.
