History of Podgorica:
Podgorica is a historical city that was settled from the prehistoric times due to its favorable locations and ruled by Romans for several years. After the fall of Romans the region was settled by Slavic and Avar tribes and war between Slavic and Byzantium was frequent. Podgorica became the busy crossroads for trade and communication and developed in economy power, military strength and strategic importance. In the year 1474, ottoman captured the city and developed the city and constructed the fort and after the fall of ottoman, the city was ruled by various kingdoms.
