Sawan is a town located in Khairpur Mir’s District in Sindh Province of Pakistan is situated about 420 kms northeast of Karachi, the capital of Sindh Province and about 1100 kms southwest of Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan.

Sawan is known for ‘Sawan Airport’ and the airport is located between 26°57′34″ N latitude and 68°52′26″ E longitude and is positioned about 78 meters above mean sea level. It is served by Pakistan International Airlines and Aircraft Sales and Services Limited with regular flights to Karachi city. Sawan is home to few educational institutions and shopping centres as well.
