Semarang is a city and the capital of central Java province in Indonesia located in Java Island facing the Java Sea. History of Semarang:

Semarang was established by Sultanate of Demak, named as Kyai Pandan Arang and started the Islamic School in the region. In the year 1678, Sunan Amangkurat II donates Semarang to the Dutch East India Company and Dutch colonial was established during the year 1682 and various developments started in this region. Later in 1920’s, the city became the hub for leftist and nationalist activities and during the World War II the city was captured by the Japanese army and in the year 1945, it became the capital of central Java.
