History of Bergen:
As per the historians the city of Bergen was founded in 1070 AD by King Olav Kyrre, son of Harald Hardrade and trading was established in the region. First church in the city was constructed in 1150s and was the capital of Norway during 13th century but after the establishment of Oslo, the town lost its charm. During the 15th century the city was attacked by various rulers and in the year 1429, they burned the Royal Castle.
