History of Plzen:
Plzen was recognized from the battle between Duke Boleslaus II the Pious of Bohemia and Emperor Otto II and it was granted as the status of town in 1295 and later became a significant town on trade route. Plzen was captured by Mansfeld during the Thirty Year’s War in 1618 and during the 17th century, many buildings in the town were constructed in the Baroque Style and it has been hub of cultural heritage preservation since 1989.
