Aneho is a beach town on the coastline of the western African country, Togo, located between 6°14′ N latitude and 1°36′ E longitude. It is located around 45 km east of Lome, the capital of Togo. Being a historical town, Aneho holds many notable tourist attractions, including the Aneho Protestant Church and Aneho Peter and Paul Church, which are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites tentative list. History of Aneho:
Originally called Little Popo, Aneho’s history begins with becoming Portuguese slave market. Aneho became the capital of the colonial Germany in Togo in the 1880s and it lost importance gradually with the capital moved to Lome in the year 1897.

Aneho is situated around 45 km east of the nearest and the country’s prime airport, Lome–Tokoin Airport. This airport handles flights from/to many African and European cities, including Casablanca, Brussels, Cotonou, Ouagadougou, Paris, Monrovia, N’Djamena, Niamey and Ouagadougou.
Aneho is linked to the airport and the city of Lome by highway N2. This route is well served by minibuses and rental vehicles.
