Boende is a town situated in the central-western part of the central African country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is located on the southern bank of the Tshuapa River, between 0°44′ S latitude and 19°12′ E longitude. Boende has an airport facility and also houses a river port, from where ferries connect Boende to Kinshasa. Boende is the administrative centre of Tshuapa District and other towns in Tshuapa District are Monkoto, Ikela, Djolu, Bokungo and Befale.
