History of Corfu:
Corfu was settled by Mycenaean Greek before the establishment of Nicopolis on the island and after the establishment of Nicopolis on the island they constructed various buildings. After the fall of Nicopolis tribes Byzantine Empire captured the province in 1147 and later by Genoese in 1197 and they ruled until it was captured by Venetian 1207. Ottoman Empire was known for powerful rule during the 17th century and before the capture of British rule Napoleonic War took place in the island.
