Dolisie, earlier called Loubomo, is a city belonging to the Kimongo District in the Niari Department of the Republic of the Congo, situated around 290 meters above sea level. It is the 3^rd largest city of the nation in terms of population. It is also noted as a railway hub, being the junction of the east-west Congo-Ocean Railway. The wood and lumber industries are the other major economy sources of Dolisie.

History of Dolisie:

Dolisie originated as a railway station on the Congo-Ocean Railway line and got its name from the vicegerent of Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza, Albert Dolisie. Its population substantially increased during the Republic of the Congo Civil War between 1997 and 1999.
