Fuengirola is a town in Malaga Province in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Fuengirola is situated in the south part of Spain and lies at an elevation of 6 meters (20 feet) above the sea level and spread around 10.2 square kilometers (3.9 square miles). History of Fuengirola:

Fuengirola was established as Suel region during the rule of Romans in the town and Sohail Castle is one of the oldest castles in the town. In Middle Ages the name of the town was renamed as Suhayl and became the name of the castle and people of the region were engaged in farming. In the year 1485, Fuengirola was invaded and captured by Christian Monarchs and tourism industry started to develop from 18^th century and later many hotels were constructed in Fuengirola.
