History of Jerash:

Jerash was inhabited during the Bronze Age and in 63 BC the roman established the city and in 90 AD the region of Jerash became the part of Arabia. Emperor of Trajan built the roads and various developments took place in the region during 106 AD and in 614 the Persian invasion to this region caused severe damage to region and it flourished during the Umayyad era. At present it is the major tourism hub in Jordan.
