Las Terrenas is located in the Samana district in the province of Samana in Dominican Republic. History of Las Terrenas:
Samana was established during the 17th century by British and during period slave trade was carried out by the British near the port and slaves from Taino, Spain and Africa were migrated to the territory. Las Terrenas is derived from the French word which means the landowner. Las Terrenas became the popular destination among the foreigners and resorts, hotels and buildings were built.
