Trinidad is an islet in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the largest island covering an area of 4,748 square kilometers (1,833.2 square miles) and Caroni and Ortoire are the two major rivers in the country enclosed by mountainous region. Trinidad is divided into North, East, Central, South and South East Trinidad and coordinates are 10.6667° N, 61.5167° W.

History of Trinidad:

Trinidad was founded by Columbus in the year 1498 and claimed from Spain and later Spain settled in the island until 1797, the island was largely settled by the French colonists. Trinidad and Tobago islands became single islands and got the independence in the year 1962.

National Museum and Art Gallery:

National Museum and Art Gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday. The museum has the collection of Trinidad artists, including an entire gallery devoted to Jean Michel Cazabon, archaeology and British historical documents and many more.
