History of Zug:

Zug is one of the oldest settlements in the world on the banks of Zug Lake and Alemannic families and tribes immigrated around 600 AD to Zug region. First church was constructed during the Middle Ages and during the medieval times the wall was erected in the town around 1200. Later the town came into the hands of Habsburgs and they constructed buildings and other monuments in the town and it became one of the popular markets in the country. Later in the 19^th century, agriculture was the prominent form of living but today the town is home to some of the renowned countries in the world.
