Zhob is a town located in Zhob district in Balochistan province of Pakistan is the district headquarters of Zhob district situated about 330 kms from provincial capital Quetta and about 60 kms from national capital Islamabad. Zhob is home to one of the units Pakistan Army cantonment.

History of Zhob:
Zhob was earlier known as Appozai and its present name was changed by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on 30 July 1976. Zhob was visited by a Chinese pilgrim Xuanzang during 629 AD. During British rule, Zhob was called as Fort Sandeman and it was formed as a district in the year 1890.
