Zhongshan is sited on the Asian continent in the southeast region of the country, China. The place is located in the Guangdong province. History of Zhongshan:
According to archeologists, civilization existed in the region of Zhongshan ever since 5,000 years ago. In 316 B.C, the Qin Emperor took out an expedition and brought Zhongshan under his control. In the war against Opium products which took place in 1839, the products containing opium were burned in very large amounts in this place. The year 1937 marked the beginning of the 2nd Sino-Japanese War which lasted till the year 1945. During this period, the place formed the base for guerilla fighters against the Japanese invasion.

The language spoken by the local people in Zhongshan is Cantonese Chinese.
